Before you book a trip with BC Bus North, please read the information below. It explains our passenger policies and the requirements to travel.

Online bookings: You must buy your ticket online at least 24 hours before the bus departs. Book here
Phone bookings: You must book by phone at least 1 hour before departure. Call 778 - 763- 4155 to the current one daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Walk-up tickets: If seats are still available, you may buy a ticket from the driver at the stop. Payment is debit or credit card only (no cash).

Arrive at your pick-up location 15 to 20 minutes before departure. Buses cannot wait for late passengers. If you miss your bus, you must book and pay for a new ticket.

Cancel at least 24 hours before departure to receive a full refund.
If BC Bus North cancels your trip, we will refund your reservation.

BC Bus North does not offer connections or transfers to other bus services. Please book separate tickets if you are continuing your trip with another provider.

Buy tickets online or by phone. For debit payments, please book by phone through the call centre. We do not have retail outlets or in-person ticket offices.

Passengers under 18 must travel with a parent/legal guardian, or with an adult who has written permission from a parent/legal guardian. Call 778 - 763 - 4155 for details.

Certified guide and service dogs (under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act) are allowed on board. To travel with a service animal, book by phone and tell the agent you are travelling with your service animal. Bring your Guide Animal Certificate. No other pets are permitted on board.

Food and drinks must be in closed, spill-proof containers. Alcohol may be transported only in the lower luggage compartment and must be securely packaged. Drinking alcohol on the bus is not permitted.

Wheelchair spaces are available on some trips. You must reserve wheelchair accommodations by phone at 778 - 763 - 4155 at least 72 hours before departure.

Strollers must fold and fit in the lower luggage compartment.

Only bicycles packed in a bag or box and checked as luggage are allowed. Unpacked bicycles are not permitted.

The Government of BC Bus Pass Program is not accepted as fare on BC Bus North routes.

You must have a reservation to ride. Do not try to flag the bus down between stops.

Standing is not permitted. Please remain seated while the bus is moving.

For delay or detour updates, call the call centre. If you provide a mobile number when booking, we can send delay/detour notifications when available.

Smoking is not allowed on the bus or within 6 metres (20 feet) of the bus, as required by the Tobacco Control Act. E-cigarettes/vapes are also not permitted on our buses.

Each passenger may bring 1 carry-on bag and up to 2 checked bags.

Must be equivalent in size to an airline carry-on: no bigger than 51 cm x 23 cm x 40 cm (20” long x 9” wide x 16” high).
Must be able to be safely stowed either in the overhead compartment or under a seat.

Dimensions: Each piece must be no bigger than 61 cm x 114 cm x 61 cm (24” long x 45” wide x 24” high)
Weight: Each piece must not weigh more than 23 kg. (50 lb.)

Some larger buses have an onboard washroom.
Some smaller vehicles used on same-day trips do not have a washroom (for example, Valemount to Prince George and Fort St. John to Fort Nelson).
